The Narrows is a long stretch of water from the mainland to the three islands in the middle of Fanchon Lake. The shortest distance between the shore and Quennell is about 6 miles, whereas the longest is from the shore to Eshkoll, which stretches about 10 miles. The swim is not easy, though.
