Everyone loves to steal something, even if it’s only in their imagination. If you’ve got a stallion looking and wanting that mare over there, or your mare has foal envy, this is the place to go! The way to steal isn’t that hard, and can be fun if you get into it. Stealing happens in the form of riddles. You (or basically your character that is doing the stealing) must post a riddle about the character you would like to try to steal. The riddle must have information already posted on the site, such as IC threads, character log pages, whatever. MAKE SURE THE RIDDLE IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO GUESS.
Once you’ve done that, you’re set to go until someone decides to guess. When guessing, the guesser must say something like: (STALLION NAME) blocks his mare (MARE NAME). Each guesser only gets two guesses, unless they have bought another guess from the store. Now if they get it wrong, the stealer must reply saying that they haven’t guessed right. If they guess right, well then, you must tell them they got it right and leave without getting angry. If no one guesses right within the allotted time, then congrats! You’ve just stolen yourself a horse! (NOTE: Stealing does not mean stealing ownership of the horse. It means that you’ve stolen the horse IN CHARACTER and they are now with your stallion/mare.)
There are a couple rules that you must abide by in order to steal:
1. Any stallion can steal. Doesn’t matter if you’re in a herd or not. Mares, on the other hand, must be in a herd in order to steal.
2. Stallions can steal any mare or horse over the age of three who already belong to another stallion. Foals can be stolen with or without their dam, but if the foal isn’t weaned and you steal it without its mother… Aylette may just have a say in it, be it gracious or not so much. Mares can only steal foals under the age of two provided they are within another herd.
3. Only stallions who own territories can guess. This counts for mares who own territories too, but if there is a lead stallion in your lands, you’ve given your guessing rights to him, darling. Each guesser gets two guesses unless they buy more.
4. The time limit for people to guess at steals is two days from the time the riddle was posted. If no one has guessed correctly at the end of 48 hours and the riddle is deemed fit (which means it’s not impossible to guess and uses info already on the site) then the steal will be declared successful.
