The Tritones
Population: 2
The Tritones are a herd for intelligence and respect. They do not tolerate anyone that is less than intelligent or respectful. Especially of the lead horses. They are patriarchal and very old school in their beliefs. The lead stallion makes all final decisions no one can question him unless they are expecting a fight. Mares cannot hold any royal position without direct ties to a stallion. There will not be a queen without a king or a duchess without a duke. Their aggression toward the Anemoi runs deep and traitors are not tolerated. If a horse's loyalty wavers too much, they will be driven out and not welcomed back.

For your horse to join the Tritones, they must have a post with the King. If you happen to meet the Queen, Duke, or Duchess first, you must wait for the King to enter the thread and accept your horse into the herd. However, if the Queen, Duke, or Duchess feels that your horse is not worthy of being a part of the herd, they have the power to drive your horse off. So be aware of how your horse acts to those that decide their fate. To be a part of the herd, you must agree to the following rules:
The King has the right to breed with any mares in his herd outside of the Duke's mares, though only the foals borne by his queen are given the title of prince or princess. Any other foals are just a part of The Colony and must fight for the spot if they want to be the King. The Queen is the King's favorite mare and one true love. She cannot breed with any other stallions except for the King. If she is found guilty of adultery, her title will be stripped and she will be driven from the herd forever and all resulting bastard foals. If she bears a foal that is not the King's on his lands, he has the right to dispose of it as he sees fit. If she betrays him badly enough, he may even renounce the foals she has borne him.
The Duke is a trusted advisor and friend to the King. The Duke is allowed his one Duchess though any other mares are counted as a part of The Colony. The King may not breed with any of the Duke's mares unless they publicly announce that they are moving from the Duke to be with the King. It would be preferred for the Duke's foals to be arranged with either a Prince or a Princess, but it is not required.
Any other Colony stallions may have up to two mares, but no more. Colony stallions may not breed with any of the King's or Duke's mares. Colony mares, if they are not claimed by the duke or a Colony stallion are automatically the King's mares. Any breedings or attempted breedings of a King's mare is treason and the stallion will be banished from the King's lands forever.
